Here comes one of the summer’s biggest trends: sheer tops and dresses. Sheer clothes have been quite a thing for a while and now every celebrity is rocking this trend. But having done the whole see-through thing before (we’re not exactly looking for a throwback to 2010 here), we wanted to know how to rock the trend in a way that’s more appropriate for 7 p.m. cocktails or even the office.
Since it’s already established that sheer clothing means some sense of skin show, it doesn't mean you go overboard with a plunging neckline. The key is to keep it basic, yet elegant.
With anything sheer, a bralette is your best friend. Yes, you’re technically showing off your lingerie, but a modest midi and classic button-down will ensure that it feels tasteful.
If you’re Beyoncé, you can pull off a tulle dress with just a bodysuit underneath. If you’re a mere mortal like me, a slipdress (or any plain mini you have hanging in your closet) will help you get the same high-fashion effect, without feeling overexposed.
we recommend keeping the fit on the ‘looser’ side when going sheer; it’s already revealing in one way, but the exception is a sleek blouse when layered under a tailored blazer. When buttoned, this can also be fit for office wear.

Still feeling a little too bare with a fully sheer top? Allover floral embroidery works as a buffer, with the added bonus of being totally in-trend. To add on, high-rise denim tucks everything in nicely.
