2020’s runway stunning nail art designs and how to get them asap

SS20 runway was all about the details and what better way to keep up with the latest looks than with the hottest nail trends? The Oscars showed us what was trending on the red carpet with beauty, hair and nails, and we must say, nail design reigned supremely. Billie Eilish gave us a taste of green with her @gucci green nails, while Dua Lipa showed off her checkered purple and white nails. Priyanka Chopra paid homage to NBA superstar Kobe Bryant with the number 24 etched on her acrylics.

When we think of nails, we cannot forget Cardi B’s iconic stiletto nails dipped in Swarovski. On the fashion runway, we saw the French Puff from Yuhan Wang, the classic French tip from Prabal Gurung, marble dips from Roland Mouret, and the classic nude from Badgley Mischka. The latest trending nail polish colours were dark hues of purples, blues, greens, and nudes. Fashion nails in trend also show styles in sweet candy colours and new nail polish styles in acrylics and gel fake nails.

Let’s take a look at how you can achieve these looks wherever you are, getting the best manicurist or pedicurist in your area to replicate the Oscar red carpet or SS20 runway looks.

Look 1: Betina R. Goldstein for SS20

Betina has done nail looks for the Oscars 2020 and for @kith Fall/Winter 2019. Her looks are very avant-garde, with a touch of pure fashion. Not your typical Instagram nails.

Look 2: Miss Pop

Miss Pop is known for her editorial-style nails. Her styles are very high-profile SS20. @jeremyscott featuring @essie featured her artwork for the SS20 show.

Look 3: Naomi Yasuda

Naomi is the genius behind artistic acrylics and rhinestone nails.

Look 4: Rita Remark

Rita is an editorial manicurist and @essie’s Global Lead Educator. She used Essie’s Mademoiselle nail polish to get the perfect nude.

Look 5: Roland Mouret

Roland’s SS20 look was very relaxed, with flashes of marble finishes for a sense of smoothness. To get marble nails, check out this tutorial.
